The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd in Knoxville, TN was looking for ways to improve the acoustical quality in their 1950’s era sanctuary.  With help by Winco’s Candace Sharpe, Nell Campbell, AIA of Bullock Smith & Partners recommended that they replace the plush carpet that ran down the center aisle of the nave, chancel, and altar areas with Stonepeak’s  Raja Kund porcelain tile.

They chose to install the tile in a loose slate pattern to not only improve the choral acoustics for their growing music program, but also provide a safer walking surface for the congregation, lower the long-term maintenance costs, and enhance the blue veining in the marble altar.  The church is very happy with the look and sound of their worship space!
