Cersaie is the biggest trade show in the ceramic tile industry, which is held in Bologna at the end of September.  Operators come from all over the world. During this event our industry reveals new trends, designs, and technologies.

The new ink jet technology, or digital print, is definitely changing our industry, while the development and research is bringing to life creative new looks, which a couple of years ago were not possible.

Concrete and wood designs have been the main trend during this event.  Digital designs make the interpretations of wood and concrete very detailed, enabling the ability to create extreme variations and mixtures of graphics.

Wood-look is definitely making its way in the ceramic tile industry.Sales in this style are growing exponentially and product availability has been growing accordingly. Wood-look ceramic tile is becoming popular in both residential and commercial applications.  Our group is now proposing 8″ x 96″ wood planks, as well as 48″ x 96″ wood look-a-like panels, which are the largest and longest sizes.

Concrete look is popular in Europe, but it is still on its way into the US market. Commercially accepted and specified by the A&D in new U.S. projects, concrete-look design is now making headway towards the residential market and many companies in our industry bet that this is going to be the next new look!

Our Group has been presenting concrete look tile in 5′ x 10′ and 5′ x 5′ sizes, which is really giving the seamless feeling typical of concrete.
